LG and I just played "shoe repair store" for a good hour. This was a complicated process, involving LG making a "blue mark" (she meant "blue print") of the store; building it out of pillows, boxes, blankets, and even the fruit bowl; and then me playing customer, requesting repairs on various shoes.
This, compared to a playdate she begged for yesterday, that essentially involved me babysitting our 4-year-old neighbor, who has never been to a preschool/daycare situation and has absolutely no attention span. In 45 minutes, she used Pixos, Play-doh, LG's fairy costume, magnet dress up bears, Connectagons, AND they demolished LG's room. As soon as she left, LG actually asked to clean her room (I guess her mess is okay; other kids making a mess is not okay).
She was on her absolute best behavior at Dr. Gorgeous's office yesterday, despite the fact that we were there for over an hour. She was a little too curious about the plastic uterus in the sonogram room. But where is the part that the baby comes OUT? (When is she going to figure out why I see this particular doctor?)
Now, if she actually brushes her teeth, we're headed downtown for some good fall fun.

On an entirely unrelated note: if you were Dr. Gorgeous, when would you prefer to be paged by a patient: Sunday afternoon, Sunday night, or wickedly early Monday morning? Because it just occurred to me that the nurse never told me whether to take my morning dose of Follistim before monitoring tomorrow. And while I could make an executive decision, frankly, I'd like to be able to ask her point blank how likely is this cycle to be cancelled?

LG: do your teeth and hair so we can go!!!
Sunday afternoon sounds good. :D
ReplyDeleteI know I'm late weighing in, but I'd say Sunday evening.
ReplyDeleteI laughed about LG wanting to clean her room. Cute.
