Well, the title pretty much says it all. I just finished grading for one class, and I can't start the grading for the other. I'd planned on staying in my office all day but came home about an hour ago because I was literally getting sick from being there. I haven't had migraine issues much since pregnancy but these projects SMELL BAD (cigarette smoke, cologne, wood varnish, glue, you name it) and I needed to get away from them.
So now I'm going to pick up books from the library and then pick up children and figure out how to amuse Tiny Boy during LG's 90 minute gymnastics class on the opposite side of town. Maybe some sunscreen, a water bottle, and a trip to the park?

Bwa ha ha! I can't believe your students' work literally STINKS! But I'm sorry about the migraine. Next week I will be grading a big ol' pile... but submitted electronically.
ReplyDeleteSo far, I haven't had to grade work that stinks literally (can't say that the content isn't a little ripe at times though and dealing with it all can definitely be migraine inducing). I cannot wait for the semester to be over. And only one class this summer will feel like a light load. Good luck in the final stretch!
