I am not zen. I am sad, angry, scared, and a whole host of other things but none of them is zen.
Right now, I've only got 3-4 follicles on the right (13, 12, 8, not measured) and nothing worth measuring on the left. I suspected microdose lupron was a bad idea, when Dr. Gorgeous hemmed and hawed about it at our consult. I have a feeling I would have done much better on a Ganirelix/antagonist only protocol.
Don't know what my E2 is yet (I'm guessing around 300), but I have a hunch we'll be converting to IUI. Dr. G said, last month, that if I only had 4 she'd still encourage me to do IVF, but, really, I don't think I would. 5+ yes, 3 absolutely not, and 4 she'll really have to convince me.
Really, is there any chance that lefty will suddenly decide it wants to play?
Updated: Well, my E2 level came back at 320. Dr. Gorgeous said converting to IUI is a possibility, but it's really too early to say. Staying on the same dose of meds tonight and tomorrow, going back on Friday, at which point we'll decide what to do.
Ugh, indeed. I'm sorry that it's not going as well as anyone would like to see. By what day will you have to make a decision?
ReplyDeleteNot sure. My RE hasn't yet said anything about the situation--I'll have more sense of things this afternoon.
