Small Good Things

  1. I spoke to the nicest person from the Specialty Pharmacy from Hell (go back to my archives for September if you want more detail). She did whatever magic she needed to do so that I can just have a nurse phone in my prescriptions to the Much Loved Campus Pharmacy and they will be *cheaper* (by 50%) than they would be if I ordered them through the mail, which is what you're really supposed to do if you have this plan (you can't use this prescription coverage for fertility at any old RiteAid or something). I'm still a bit skeptical, but if things go as promised, my total out-of-pocket med cost for IVF will be in the hundreds instead of the thousands (which is what I expected).
  2. Dark chocolate covered raisins. Exactly what I need to satisfy my sweet tooth without resorting to things with milk and wheat.
  3. LG can now brush her own hair, which cuts out a lot of morning drama.
  4. It's July 7, and I need to wear a sweater. I am loving this weather.
  5. The NuvaRing? Might be the weirdest thing that I have ever put in my body (it looks like one of those jellie bracelets I wore in junior high) but it's not interfering with my life and, knock wood, so far has no discernible side effects. Thank you, Dr. Gorgeous!

  1. we use a mail order pharmacy for our fertility meds, but it is actually quite cheaper. and our local pharmacy cant get them in the time we need, whereas the specialty one has everything on hand and can get them here the next day.

mmm choc covered raisins... I think I'll have to ask Peter to drop by the store, LOL!

  2. I've also had luck with mail order fertility drugs in the past. This one is specific to my insurance and is a pain all around.
