Small Good Things

  1. I ended up making baked oatmeal this morning (though I've diligently saved your breakfast suggestions for use another time!), and I have to say it turned out okay, as did the rest of brunch.
  2. LG invited a friend over to bake cookies. Although this meant that I did much of the in and out of the oven labor, it was still nice to have LG occupied for a couple hours. And in between cookie batches, I managed to get some grading done.
  3. We were so busy today--between our two social engagements--I haven't thought about the state of my uterus until, oh, about five minutes ago.
  4. Due to the company, our kitchen, bathroom, and living areas are sparkly clean. My office? Well, that's another story. But it's nice to start the week with some semblance of organization.
  5. Ditto the cooking: We have lentil soup, quinoa, ground turkey, and roasted brussels sprouts in the fridge, to be reheated later this week. I really like the cooking ahead on the weekends method. And it's working well this year, now that LG is really old enough to keep herself occupied while I tinker in the kitchen.
