- Going ahead with a doctor disapproved cycle because it worked when I conceived LG;
- Using up the last 3 vials of LG's donor;
- Giving the staff baked goods;
- Donating to Fertility Socks;
- Spite (really, for about a day, I wanted to get pregnant just to tell Dr. Gorgeous I told you so);
- Believing that breast fullness + a wicked high temperature + cramping must = positive;
- Thinking that a due date of my mother's birthday was predestined to work
So for IUI #13, which I've decided has to be lucky, Dr. Gorgeous is getting what I consider to be crazy aggressive, which under the influence of vodka (yes, it's vodka night here in Chez Gwinne!) seems pretty darn good to me. That would be Femara cd 2-6 and *200* IU Follistim cd 6-9. I need to ask her next week when I see her what exactly she hopes that much Follistim will do, because I'm thinking that without Ganirelix, I'm either going to ovulate early or end up with 4 follicles. And maybe that's what we're going for... but I just want to make sure we're on the same page.
Even the nurse sounded so honestly sad for me tonight. Sigh.
I think I'll drink some more vodka and pomegranate juice (thank you, LG, for going to sleep!!!), watch some TV, and pick up the shattered pieces of my life in the morning.
Wish I were there to drink some of that vodka with you and figure out how to laugh at all of this. Somehow, somewhere, this has got to be funny. Else it is just too depressing.
ReplyDeleteGod, I'm sorry. I'm prone to magical thinking myself, and I think it makes it three times as hard when it doesn't work when I've convinced myself that there are so many really good reasons it should. Thinking of you, raising a cup of apple juice to toast you with. Wishing we were toasting better news.
ReplyDeleteThanks. My pre-beta freakout on Monday made yesterday's news easier to handle. But I really was expecting to hear I was having another chemical pregnancy...
ReplyDeleteThings are better today. Always better in the planning stage than the grieving stage. Must pick donor. Must get Femara.
I'm so sorry.
