(How's that for an original title?)
I'm finding myself crabby. Which probably has to do with the massive lack of sleep. The new brand of insomnia seems to be sleeping from about 9:30-2:00 and then just being awake. Last night I actually took 2 Benadryl before I went to bed, took 2 more when I awoke at 2:30, and STILL spent several hours awake in the middle of the night. I think I fell back asleep, sometime after 4:30, at least half-sleep, as I know I had a dream. One of my dreams this week involved Dr. Gorgeous putting me on some new form of estrogen to help me sleep. Subtle, right?
The other crabbiness, I think, has to do with telling my mother last night about the pregnancy. Which I was not planning to do until after u/s. But she asked point blank, and I'm an incredibly bad liar, and generally my mother knows my business. She's of the school that positive pregnancy test= live baby, despite the fact that she's known about my multiple (early) losses. So you're cautiously optimistic, she said. Yeah, Mom, that would be about fifty steps of confidence beyond where I am now, which is just trying to be pregnant by the end of today. But I guess when you ask your mother to take care of LG and household matters while you're on bedrest, you owe her information. But, seriously, my first blood test was originally scheduled for today.
Really, I'm still stunned that it actually worked. I may ask for another beta on Friday. Not sure yet. And now I'm going to throw up.
Whoo Hoo for thowing up! I adore terrible horrible no good very bad preganacy symptoms that mean I'm still prego!!
