Beta Hell (Redux)

It would appear that I'm still pregnant. If I heard Nurse of the Everchanging Nickname correctly, beta's up to 751, which is not quite doubled over three days. Which is to say, not adequate. But still going. I fully expected it to have decreased over the weekend. Ultrasound tomorrow (5w2d). The reigning theory is, I think, ectopic (if you're experiencing any pain or bleeding, call the office!). Why do I have a feeling this limbo is going to continue for the next week or more?

  4. Oh hell. Damn, damn, damn. Thinking of you. Hoping for a miracle of some kind here, though I'm not even sure what to wish for at this point. Basically, just thinking of you.

  7. Thanks, y'all.

Personally I'm hoping at this point that (a) Dr. Gorgeous' vanishing twin theory is right and there will be some evidence of intrauterine pregnancy on ultrasound, (b) it's some freaky weird early loss that will resolve itself sooner rather than later, because I've done the long, drawn out miscarriage thing and that sucks worse than anything I think I've ever experienced, and, failing all that, (c) a situation that a little round of methotrexate (sp?) kills so I can get back to the business of figuring out what the fuck is wrong with me...
